DAY 1: Thursday 9 September 2021 (MT, L, D)
Today we depart for eight fun and interesting days exploring the beautiful Tumut Valley and surrounds. After a short stop for morning tea, we continue on to Canberra to visit Cockington Green Gardens. We enjoy lunch here and a train ride through the delightful and fascinating display of the meticulously handcrafted miniature buildings from around the world, set within beautifully landscaped gardens. This afternoon we travel through to Cooma for our overnight stay.

DAY 2: Friday 10 September 2021 (B, MT, L, AT, D)
After breakfast, we head into town to visit the state-ofthe-art Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre where we’ll enjoy morning tea in the grounds. We then make our way to Adaminaby and the Snowy Scheme Museum to enjoy
a warming roast lunch. We continue on to Kosciuszko National Park to visit Yarrangobilly Caves, exploring the striking, yet accessible Jillabenan Limestone Cave. After a light afternoon tea, we make our way to the picturesque town of Tumut.

DAY 3: Saturday 11 September 2021 (B, MT, AT, D)
This morning we visit the Tumut Visitor Information Centre to pick up our guide for a town tour. On our return, we enjoy morning tea and visit the Tumut Broom Factory – the last original Millet Broom Factory in Australia. After our tour, you’ll have free time to wander the boutique shops in town and enjoy lunch (at own expense) at one of the many eateries on offer. This afternoon, we visit Tumut’s Blowering Dam then Tumut Valley Violets, nestled amongst cottage gardens with over 700 different varieties of african violets on display and available for purchase. After a delightful afternoon tea here we head back to our motel for some down time before our night out at Tumut River Brewing Co. Our passionate hosts will guide us through the microbrewery, sampling their refreshing selections of craft beers and ciders. For dinner we enjoy a delicious selection of gourmet pizzas and sweets to finish.

DAY 4: Sunday 12 September 2021 (B, MT, L, D)
After breakfast we travel to Junee to visit The Junee Roundhouse Railway Museum. The Junee Roundhouse, or loco, as it was called, was the last steam depot built in NSW and as such was the pinnacle of steam depot developments in the state. We then enjoy a guided tour, tasting and lunch at Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory. After lunch, we head to the beautifully restored Monte Cristo Homestead for a guided tour. Monte Cristo has been featured on a number of TV programs for both its splendour as well as being Australia’s most haunted house. We’ll make our way back to Wagga Wagga, stopping at the prestigious Wollundry Grove Olives for a tour and tasting.

DAY 5: Monday 13 September 2021 (B, MT, L, AT, D)
Today we travel to Glenroy Heritage Reserve to visit the Pioneer Women’s Hut and enjoy a Devonshire tea. We then travel to Braymont Gardens, home of the massive hedge/tree church nestled in the vineyard with magnificent views. We’ll enjoy a lovely lunch in the Garden Café before travelling to Lake Albert to visit the studio & alpaca paddock of Ashculme Textiles where we’ll meet Fiona and her team of beautiful alpacas.

DAY 6: Tuesday 14 September 2021 (B, MT, L, D)
Today we head out to Narrandera Fisheries for a tour and morning tea in the grounds, followed by a visit to Glendale Citrus and Hazelnut Orchard where you’ll board their tractor drawn covered carriage for a tour of the grove. After a delicious lunch on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River, we’ll be greeted with a visit from the Orchard’s ‘Little pink van’, serving soft serve ice cream with homemade syrups and crushed hazelnuts. This afternoon we make our way to the charming town of Coolamon for a visit to the ‘Bread & Cheese’ factory, housed in a historic 1920s building where you’ll learn the cheese making process, how milk is tenderly stirred, cut and moulded into beautiful delicious cheese. While we’re here, we visit the Coolamon Fire Museum and the town’s heritage-listed ‘Up-To-Date Store’, a museum and gift store with the Lamson Cash Railway System, the only ball-style cash carrier in the world in its original location.

DAY 7: Wednesday 15 September 2021 (B, MT, L, D)
This morning we pick up our guide for a City Highlights Tour. On return we enjoy morning tea, followed by a visit to Wagga Wagga Art Gallery which incorporates a standalone gallery to exhibit the National Art Glass Collection, or you may wish to visit the Botanic Gardens instead. We’ll then travel to Jugiong, located on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River for lunch. This afternoon we continue through to the quaint town of Yass where we’ll enjoy a guided heritage tour before checking into our accommodation.

DAY 8: Thursday 16 September 2021 (B, MT, L)
This morning we visit the Cooma Cottage – a nationally important heritage property once home to the great Australian Explorer, Hamilton Hume. After our tour and morning tea in the grounds, we continue through to Mittagong to enjoy lunch. A lovely end to a fabulous time away.
